These ammonites were collected near Charmouth, Dorset, on the Jurassic Coast and have been prepared using a combination of air chisel and abrasive techniques. This piece in particular took many hours to reveal. 


Please note, this specimen is not free-standing but will be sent with a plastic stand free of charge.


A very busy piece with many ammonites that have washed together against a nautilus shell. A small section of nautilus shell texture can be seen on the underside of the piece. 

Several of the ammonites have worm tubes attached to their shells, a common phenomenon for Microderoceras specimens found from this period. 



Age: Jurassic, Lower Lias (~197 million years old)
